Summary
Kolanowska M. & Szlachetko D. L. 2025. Brachionidium ramiro-medinae spec. nova (Orchidaceae-Pleurothallidinae) from the Northwestern Andes. – Phyton (Horn, Austria) 64–65: 1–5, with 4 figures.
A new species of the orchid genus Brachionidium, B. ramiro-medinae Kolan. & Szlach., from the Colombian Andes is described and illustrated. The new entity resembles B. tetrapetalum and B. pteroglossum but it is distinguished from both these species by a pandurate lip callus. A key to Brachionidium species with non-caudate sepals occurring in Colombia and Ecuador is presented.
