Targino de Oliveira V.R., Xavier de Lima V., Oliveira-Filho J.R.C. & Gibertoni T.B. (2022) Three new species of Fulvifomes
(Hymenochaetales, Basidiomycota) from Brazil. – Sydowia 75: 1–12.
During surveys about poroid Hymenochaetaceae in Brazil, six specimens could not be assigned to any known species and are,
thus, described as three new species, based on morphology and nITS and nLSU phylogenetic analyses. Fulvifomes fabaceicola, F.
karitianaensis and F. waimiriatroariensis are morphologically similar and/or phylogenetically close to F. thailandicus, F. rhytiphloeus
and F. fastuosus/F. kawakami, respectively. Based on morphological and phylogenetic analyses and distribution information,
the taxonomic implications of new species and other related taxa are discussed.
Keywords: Hymenochaetaceae, phylogenetic analysis, polypore, taxonomy. – 3 new species.
