Summary
Speta F. 2011. Eine bemerkenswerte, neue Loncomelos-Art aus der NE-Türkei: L. erichpaschei Speta spec. nova (Hyacinthaceae-Ornithogaloideae). [A remarkable new Loncomelos species from NE-Turkey: L. erichpaschei Speta spec. nova (Hyacinthaceae-Ornithogaloideae)]. – Phyton (Horn, Austria) 51 (1): 153–160, with 2 figures.
The new species Loncomelos erichpaschei Speta from NE-Turkey has the chromosome number 2n = 16. This number also occurs in the common L. ponticus (Zahar.) Speta. Totally unexpectedly L. erichpaschei has a long style, whereas L. ponticus has a short one. This would make plausible a close relationship to L. narbonensis which, however, can be excluded because of the different chromosome number (2n = 54).
