Summary
Szlachetko D. L. & Kolanowska M. 2013. A new species of Pterichis (Orchidaceae-Cranichidinae) from Norte de Santander, Colombia. – Phyton (Horn, Austria) 53(1) 7–13, with 3 figures.
Pterichis isabeliana Szlach. & Kolan. (Orchidaceae-Orchidoideae-Cranichideae-Cranichidinae), a new species from the Andean Eastern Cordillera of Colombia, is described and illustrated. Its affinities with the related P. triloba (Lindl.) Schltr. are briefly discussed and the comparison of their morphological characters is presented. The main characteristics of P. isabeliana are a crescent-like basal part of the lip, the ligulate-lanceolate apical part without a thickening at the base and lanceolate-ligulate petals which are strongly falcate in the lower part. A key for the ten Colombian species is presented.
