Favolaschia singeriana is reported for the first time from Mexico where it is growing on Alsophila and Cyathea tree ferns in Veracruz. A detailed description and illustrations of its macro- and micromorphological characters are provided and its taxonomical status among other members of Favolaschia on ferns is dis-cussed.
