A checklist of Ascomycota associated with the tree and shrub species in Azerbaijan is presented. This is the first attempt to combine all available data on this group of fungi collected by a number of mycologists since the beginning of the 20th century. Records available in the literature and herbarium specimens since 1950s were examined. A total of 300 specimens of fungi occurring on both angio- and gymnosperms were studied and 193 fungi were recorded on 49 plant species belonging to 30 genera of 18 families. The metadata of the examined specimens are listed. The list also includes information on important plant pathogens in the country.
